Delightful Combination Lace

This tablecloth is lavishly ornamented with cutwork, featuring buttonhole stitch bars, and satin stitch worked in silky pale blue thread. Twelve needle lace insertions add to the decorative effect, and the finishing touch is the filet lace edging. c. 1930.
