A Gem From The Nineteen Forties

This appealing dresser set was hand-embroidered in a mission in South India, and purchased by a United Nations nurse who worked there in the late nineteen forties. The attractive design is hand embroidered in satin and stem stitch with seeding and touches of cutwork.
